Pyrolave crafts the counters for Michalak Étienne Marcel

In the new Michalak patisserie on Rue Étienne Marcel in Paris, aesthetics meet culinary excellence. To enhance this refined haven of indulgence, Pyrolave created bespoke enameled lava stone counters in a luminous and elegant ivory shade.

The understated elegance of exceptional craftsmanship

Carved from lava stone sourced from the Auvergne volcanoes and hand-enameled in our Pyrolave workshop in Castelsarrasin, this noble and resilient surface asserts itself with subtlety at the heart of the boutique. Its soft sheen evokes the purity and precision of fine pastry, while adding a warm, mineral touch to the space.

Counters : where textures meet between wall and stone

What makes this project particularly subtle? The back wall, clad in crackled ceramic, echoes the natural crazing of the enameled lava. This stylistic nod creates a harmonious dialogue between materials—a visual resonance between handcrafted surface and architectural backdrop. A discreet, yet powerful signature.

A 100% French project uniting two houses of excellence. The collaboration between Michalak, a symbol of creative pastry, and Pyrolave, a master in artisanal lava craftsmanship, embodies the alliance of French savoir-faire and an eye for detail. A meeting of precision, sensorial design, and enduring aesthetics.
