Maison Cacao Yokohama: refined elegance in enameled lava
In the heart of Yokohama’s sophisticated shopping district, Maison Cacao has opened a new boutique dedicated to the art of Japanese chocolate. To complement the site’s refined, minimalist architecture, Pyrolave crafted a bespoke enameled lava counter in a bright, pure white finish.
When mineral craftsmanship elevates minimalism
The white enameled lava selected for this project seamlessly fits into Maison Cacao’s minimalist aesthetic: purity of lines, natural textures, and meticulous attention to detail.
The counter, simple yet technically demanding in design, is entirely handcrafted from volcanic stone sourced in Auvergne, France, then enameled in our workshops to achieve a radiant, flawless white that reflects the ambient light with subtle brilliance.
The silent strength of lava
Beneath its delicate appearance, lava remains a powerful material.
Shock-resistant, highly durable, and naturally textured, it represents a rare alliance between beauty and performance.
Within Maison Cacao, the counter becomes a discreet yet solid foundation, enhancing the customer experience — a mineral showcase that elevates the sensory universe of fine chocolate.
A dialogue between French craftsmanship and Japanese design
By integrating into this refined Japanese environment, Pyrolave’s enameled lava resonates naturally with Japanese aesthetics :
- respect for materials,
- pursuit of essential beauty,
- celebration of the artisan’s hand.
A project that is discreet yet full of meaning, where every detail matters.
