The Flamingo, Timmendorfer Strand, Germany

Flamingo Hotel : Pyrolave’s mineral elegance on the Baltic Coast

In Timmendorfer Strand, a coveted seaside resort on Germany’s Baltic coast, the Flamingo Hotel invites guests into a unique world—chic, colorful, slightly retro, yet resolutely contemporary.

To complement the vibrant concept envisioned by JOI-Design, Pyrolave crafted bespoke enameled lava basins for the hotel’s bathrooms, combining bold creativity with exceptional craftsmanship.

Enameled lava : where character meets refinement

In every bathroom, Pyrolave’s enameled lava brings a strong, elegant, and tactile presence.
Handcrafted from volcanic stone sourced from the Auvergne region and hand-enameled in France, our basins feature a subtly crazed, living surface, a natural hallmark of true artisanal mastery.

Resilient, non-porous, and easy to maintain, the basins meet the functional demands of a high-end hotel while adding a sensory and aesthetic dimension to each private space.

A project where color becomes an experience

At the Flamingo Hotel, each room asserts its own color identity, drawing inspiration from the sun, sea, and holiday landscapes.
The fully customized Pyrolave basins were carefully designed to integrate seamlessly into this palette, offering soft or vibrant tones without ever disturbing the elegant harmony of the interiors.

A subtle tribute to the Baltic coast

Material choices at the Flamingo are never random: natural stone, blond wood, soft textiles…
Pyrolave’s enameled lava, with its unique texture and deep color, echoes the Baltic’s quiet strength—the luminous beaches, the pine forests shaped by the winds.
It creates a bridge between nature and design, discreet but essential.

Pyrolave and JOI-Design: bespoke craftsmanship serving a strong concept

By collaborating with JOI-Design, Pyrolave demonstrated its ability to support ambitious creative projects, offering tailored solutions from shapes and dimensions to perfectly calibrated color finishes.

Each basin becomes a narrative element, as meaningful as the lighting, the textures, and the art that animate the hotel.
