ROKA, Manama, Bahrain

An exceptional piece crafted by human hands

At the heart of ROKA Bahrain, an iconic restaurant and bar in Manama, a custom-made raw stone counter elegantly and intensely adorns the space. The combination of dark wood and red lighting envelops the place in a warm, almost mineral ambiance, reminiscent of the contained power of a volcano.

The countertop showcases the raw power and texture of volcanic lava. Every detail, every natural vein, has been meticulously respected and crafted to create a subtle interplay with light and the surrounding dark furnishings. The result: a piece that is robust, authentic, and spectacular, commanding attention with understated elegance.

Expertise and custom design

Made in our workshops with a demanding artisanal process, this counter perfectly illustrates Pyrolave’s ability to transform raw material into an elegant and durable work.

A creation designed to last

This project, overseen by Alex Brockway and Geoff Leach, shows how mineral matter can interact with light and wood to create a unique place, where each visit becomes an immersive experience.
