Penthouse Melbourne, Australia

Discover the glazed lava stone kitchen splashbacks crafted by Pyrolave for a Melbourne penthouse designed by Fiona Lynch, where the material enhances a contemporary interior with clean, architectural lines.

A Bespoke Glazed Lava Stone Splashback at the Heart of an Exceptional Kitchen

For this Melbourne penthouse, designer Fiona Lynch envisioned an elegant kitchen where every material contributes to the harmony of the space. To bring this vision to life, Pyrolave crafted the glazed lava stone kitchen splashbacks in the Tilleul color, developed through Pyrolave’s exclusive color research process, whose soft tones blend seamlessly with the project’s refined mineral palette.

With their glazed finish and subtle hue, these surfaces bring depth and brightness to the kitchen while creating a harmonious dialogue with the metallic cabinetry, natural stone countertops, and the architectural volumes envisioned by Fiona Lynch.

A Glazed Lava Stone Kitchen Splashback Designed for Luxury Interiors

As the central feature of the kitchen, the splashback protects the walls while enhancing the overall character of the space. Pyrolave glazed lava surfaces provide a premium finish while meeting the demands of everyday use.

Highly resistant to scratches, heat, UV rays, impacts, and household cleaning products, glazed lava is an ideal solution for high-end residential kitchens, where aesthetics, durability, and ease of maintenance are essential.

Pyrolave craftsmanship dedicated to bespoke design.

Each surface was custom-made in our workshops from Volvic lava stone. Shaped and enamelled using a craft process perfected over more than forty years, every piece features a unique finish.

The natural crazing of the enamel adds subtle depth to the colour and reveals the full richness of the material as it interacts with the light. This distinctive characteristic of glazed lava gives each creation a unique and timeless character.

A meeting of contemporary design and French craftsmanship.

With this residential project in Melbourne, Pyrolave once again demonstrates its ability to support architects, interior designers, and design professionals in creating bespoke interiors.

The glazed lava kitchen splashback integrates seamlessly into the world imagined by Fiona Lynch, where clean lines, refined materials, and a pursuit of balance create an atmosphere that is both contemporary, warm, and timeless.
