The warmth of Terracotta in the heart of Paris
In an elegant building in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, the new headquarters of the French Institute houses a creation by Pyrolave: a counter in Terracotta enameled lava, designed by REV Studio to combine mineral warmth, noble materials and a contemporary ambiance.
A harmony between wood, light and minerals
Bathed in light, the room blends light woods and orange hues, creating an atmosphere that is both warm and soothing.
At the heart of this balance, the Terracotta enameled lava countertop stands out as a centerpiece: its sunny color, inspired by the volcanic soils of the Auvergne region, exudes a comforting softness while asserting its presence.
The subtle sheen of the enamel complements the matte textures of the furniture, playing with reflections and natural light.
Material as an expression of know-how
Born from the fire of the Auvergne volcanoes, each Pyrolave piece is shaped, glazed, and fired at very high temperatures in our workshops in Castelsarrasin.
This artisanal process gives the lava its resistance, chromatic depth, and unique texture.
Here, the Terracotta glaze captures the mineral warmth of the stone and transforms it into a refined surface, both raw and sophisticated.
A tailor-made project
