Cacao House Kamakura, Japan

Three custom-made countertops in enameled lava

In the vibrant heart of Tokyo, Maison Cacao chose Pyrolave to create three custom-made counters, each located on a different floor of the establishment, in order to create an aesthetic and functional continuity across the different spaces of the boutique.

The intensity of a single color

Each countertop was crafted from Pyrolave enameled lava in a deep blue hue, the result of meticulous color research. This dark and refined shade blends subtly into the elegant and serene atmosphere of Maison Cacao. Under the venue’s lighting, the surfaces capture the light, revealing deep, mineral reflections in a blue that invites contemplation while simultaneously highlighting the presence of a noble material.

Pyrolave’s expertise: a blend of craftsmanship and robustness

Each piece of the three counters was handcrafted in our workshops: from cutting the raw lava to glazing and then firing at very high temperatures. This process guarantees durable, non-porous, resistant, and above all, unique surfaces. The vibrant texture and glossy finish reflect Pyrolave’s artisanal mastery an essential detail for a demanding reception area like Maison Cacao.

When Japanese design meets French craftsmanship

The minimalist and refined design of Maison Cacao, elegant, understated, and focused on the cacao experience, finds a natural partner in Pyrolave. The three counters become aesthetic and functional focal points, uniting Japanese precision and French craftsmanship. The ensemble harmonizes the space while offering visitors a unique sensory experience.
